GENERAL QUESTIONS

1. Can you buy material for me?

Yes, we actually prefer to get the material ourselves and will be included in quote. If you have your own material, that is perfectly fine, but we won't be able to provide you with warranty on material you bought, only on labour.

2. Are you insured?

Yes. All Handy Works has $10mil Liability Insurance. 

3. Do you have all the tools you might need?

We have all of the tools that a handyman needs. We carry a large range of tools for a wide variety of tasks. If we know what the job involves, we use the most suitable transport mode, and bring the right tools for the job.

4. I want to prepare my house for sale. Can you help?

Yes, we definitely can. Email through your list of jobs, some photos and your suburb and we can get your property looking its best.

5. How long before you can do the job?

For any emergencies, we can try to come to you within a day or two. Larger or non-urgent jobs are scheduled depending on the weather and in order to when we received your enquiry.

6. Can you do regular and routine maintenance?

Yes, we definitely can. All Handy Works are currently working on regular basis with a local hotels and restaurants.

7. Can weather affect my appointment?

Yes. Delivering on our customers expectations along with our safety are paramount. Heavy rain can affect the quality of our work and some jobs are impossible to complete if it is raining or is windy. Heat that exceeds 35 degrees can affect Michal's health and safety. In these cases we may reschedule your job. We will usually let you know the day before based on weather forecasts.

8. Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?

In relation to cancellations; we do appreciate as much notice as possible. Please email us on  allhandyworks@hotmail.com if you need to cancel your appointment. Cancellation fee of $120 will apply if you cancel your appointment with less than 48hrs notice.

QUOTES

1. Do you charge for quotes?

We provide a free quote if you provide us with enough photos and information for us to establish the material and amount of time needed to complete the job. 

2. Is the quote set in stone?

We provide an approximate quote based on information provided by you. If we come across complications on the job and it is taking longer to complete or we need to get different material, we will need to charge more than the original quote.

3. Will you email me an official quote?

Yes, for bigger jobs or if work is needed for business purposes, we will send an official quote. For smaller and private jobs, we provide quotes in email.

GENERAL HANDYMAN JOBS

1. Can you mount my TV bracket to the wall?

Yes we can. You can purchase your own tv bracket or we can buy it for you. For OH&S reasons, large televisions may require two men.

2. Can you hang photos/ paintings on the wall?

Yes we can. We will need you to advise us where precisely you would like the the photos/ painting. 

3. Do you replace flyscreen mesh?

Yes, we do. We will need to know the type of flyscreen you have and dimensions first.

4. Can you assemble furniture or shelves?

Yes, we can assemble different types of furniture and shelving. Please send us photos of what you have purchased and please confirm if you have the necessary boxes, pieces, parts, nuts, bolts, etc and the instructions—we can do it. If you don't have the instructions, we will try our best to work it out.

5. Can you change battery in my smoke alarm?

Yes, we can change smoke alarm battery.

6. Can you change light bulb?

Yes, we can replace your light globe. We can either source one ourselves or install one you bought already.

PAYMENTS

1. Do you have eftpos facilities?

Unfortunately, we don't have eftpos facilities at the moment.

2. How can I pay?

You can pay on completion of the job by a bank transfer or cash (please note that late fees might apply).

3. Do you provide an invoice?

Yes, we provide invoice after we complete the job. We usually provide you with up to 7 days to pay your invoice for repeat customers. 

4. Overdue invoices

Overdue invoice balances will be subject to a late payment fee of $10 for invoices under $500 and $20 for invoices over $500 per week, which will be charged weekly until the owing balance is paid. 

5. I am a tenant and need help, but I want the landlord to pay for it.

You will need to contact your landlord or real estate and we will need their approval and contact before we can start any work.

6. Do I have to pay anything prior to you starting the job?

Usually we don't require upfront payments. However, for larger jobs or if we need to purchase lot of material, we will need a deposit paid prior.

TILING

1. Do you do tiling?

Yes, we can assist with small tiling jobs and broken tiles replacement. Where a broken or cracked tile needs to be removed and replaced, it is more economical if you have some of the replacement tiles ready.

2. Do you do grouting?

Yes, we can do small or large grouting jobs.

3. Can you replace my broken/ mouldy silicones?

Yes, we can assist with small or large silicone jobs.

GARDENING

1. Do you do lawn mowing?

Yes, we can assist with lawn moving as one off or on regular basis.

2. Can you trim my hedges?

Yes, we can assist with hedge trimming. We have all relevant tools for this job.

3. Do you dispose of all the off cuts you trimmed from hedges or the grass clippings from the lawn?

After we mow your lawn, we can dispose of the grass clippings in your green bin or we can bag it for you. You will need to provide us with your green bin and/ or strong garbage bags. If you need us to, we can provide garbage bags for an additional charge. 

We are unable to take any waste with us.
